24 Die in Karnataka’s Hospital, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “Died or Killed?

Last 24 hour 24 die in Govt. Hospital Karnatak’s due to shortage of vaccine.

In an incident that took place in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar district on Sunday night. As many as 24 patients, including coronavirus patients died at a hospital due lack of oxygen shortage. As many as 24 Covid-19 patients died in the last 24 hours after a government hospital in Karnataka’s Chamarajanagar allegedly ran out of medical oxygen. Chamarajanagar Deputy Commissioner Dr MR Ravi, however, said it is yet to be ascertained whether the patients died from lack of oxygen. “We can’t say whether all have died due to lack of oxygen,” he said.

The family members of the deceased have staged a protest in front of the hospital demanding action against the officials. Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa said he has spoken to Chamarajanagar district commissioner over the incident and has also called an emergency Cabinet meeting on Tuesday evening.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said, “Died or Killed? My heartfelt condolences to their families. How much more suffering before the ‘system’ wakes up?” This is not the first such incident to take place. Two weeks ago, 25 coronavirus patients had died at Jaipur Golden Hospital and 25 patients at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital due to the shortage of oxygen. Hospitals have taken to social media to seek oxygen supply from the Centre as cases increase and oxygen supply decreases.
