Oxygen Stock on 80 %, Delhi-NCR hospitals out of bed

Delhi, UP, Gujrat demand outstrips oxygen stock supply- PM Modi holds disaster assembly

Hospitals in Delhi- NCR suffering from Oxygen stock shortage of vaccine. Top private hospital like Apollo, Fortis, Max issued open appeals to the authorities to deliver critical supply of Oxygen. Some of them began asking their patients to look for beds in other hospitals and stopped new admissions. “We are supposed to give life. If we can not given oxygen, our patients will died” said Sunil Kumar CEO of Shanti Mukand Hospital. He also said that they have stock only 5 to 6 hours. A letter wrote all states by Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan to states that Delhi, UP, Gujrat worst hit by Covid 19 and said to outstrips supply these states. PM Modi told officials to ramp up production of Oxygen on Thursday. It is the time when India registered highest Covid 19 cases in the world. Yesterday in country 3,15,660 positive cases recorded and 2091 death happened in a single day. Corona second wave effect is more critical according to ICMR. 

Prime Minister Modi will chair emergency meeting 9 a.m. friday

To seeing surge of Covid 19, Prime Minister Modi will hold a emergency meeting on Friday. At 10 a.m. he will interact with Chief Ministers and also talk with leading oxygen manufactures. PM Modi also cancelled his election campaign and rallies in West Bengal due to emergency situation. As the country reported 3,14,835 new cases and 2104 deaths in last 24 hour, highest in the world. Now 75 percentage of oxygen has reserved for Medical use, that is 6283 million tone. India to import 50,000 MT medical oxygen amid Covid surge, said government officials.
